By accessing or using FretCoach.ai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

FretCoach.ai is an AI-powered guitar education platform that provides personalized learning paths, practice routines, lick libraries, music theory content, and real-time feedback to help guitarists improve their skills.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Tier: Limited access to basic features at no cost.
• Paid Plans: Plus ($9.99/month or $99.99/year) and Pro ($14.99/month or $149.99/year) plans provide access to premium features.
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Payment is processed securely through Stripe.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• Refunds: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for new subscribers. After 14 days, refunds are provided at our discretion.

5. Founding Member Pricing

Early subscribers may receive Founding Member pricing, which locks in a discounted rate for as long as the subscription remains active. Founding Member pricing is non-transferable and will be lost if the subscription is cancelled.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Share, resell, or redistribute paid content or account access
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect content from the Service
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

7. Intellectual Property

All content on FretCoach.ai — including but not limited to lick libraries, lesson content, course materials, AI-generated practice plans, backing tracks, and software — is the property of FretCoach.ai and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may use the content for personal, non-commercial guitar practice only.

8. AI-Generated Content

FretCoach.ai uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized learning content, feedback, and recommendations. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. The Service is intended as a supplement to, not a replacement for, professional music instruction.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FretCoach.ai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
